The staff were fast reliable and friendly and the service was top quality all round good service. The room was clean tidy and suitable for my needs even though i was staying in a budget room. The food was second to none and the bar was also 1st class. I would recomment this hotel to anyone and everyone !! Real good value for money

The executive rooms are spacious, well decorated & very comfortable
The hotel is a lovely Victorian house close to Sale town centre with easy access to tram line to Manchester/Altrincham. The staff are friendly & professional & any problems were quickly resolved. The restaurant serves good quality food & wine & it's possible to eat in the bar area. A good stock of tea/coffee/biscuit supplies are provided daily. The rooms were warm, even during the depths of winter. We've actually stayed here a few times because of it's location, good value & comfort, it seems many other clients are regulars. The executive rooms are spacious, well decorated & very comfortable. In all, a very pleasant stay

The knowledgeable staff were friendly & helpful
Had a great stay. The knowledgeable staff were friendly & helpful. It felt much more personal than a chain hotel without being intrusive, a great balance. We extended our stay & got a free upgrade to a lovely large room with comfortable, modern furnishings. Great little restaurant serving delicious food. Veggies catered for & they were able to offer alternatives to menu. Location is quiet but < 5 mins to tram station & a variety of restaurants & shops. I'm sure we'll be back.

Thanks again, we really enjoyed our stay and for such a great price
We rarely take the time to review hotels but after our stay at the Lennox Lea Hotel, we felt we had to. We have visited Manchester on numerous occasions, usually to watch a show or go to the football but with the price of such activities these days we have always opted for a value hotel, and more often than not been disappointed with the stay. We were recommended the Lennox Lea by a work colleague and assured we would not be disappointed. The hotel is in a great location, only 15mins from the centre, but on a quiet, road. We opted for a budget room and that’s exactly what we got, it wasn’t the most modern of rooms but it had everything we needed, it was clean and it gave us a comfortable night’s stay. We were unsure of whether to pay the extra price for the breakfast but thought we’d give it a try and I have to say it was excellent! It is rare to find these days a hotel which serves a proper, home cooked, full English breakfast, it certainly set us up for the day, and I would definitely recommend it. The real credit to this hotel must go to the team of dedicated, hard working staff. They could not have been more helpful and really made us feel welcome. Unfortunately on this visit we were unable to try Alexander’s Bistro, but the menu sounded great and we will certainly make time to try it on our next visit. Thanks again, we really enjoyed our stay and for such a great price, we look forward to seeing you all again soon! Keith and Gill

Morning Keith & Gill
What a lovely review, i think you have summed us up very nicely. We have some 'Cheap & Cheerful' budget rooms which we think for the money, offer exceptional value. They are a little dated and yes some do still have the classic 'Avocado bathroom suites!' this is not by choice but due to lack of funds!! however we let these rooms at a reduced rate to reflect this. We also think they may come back in fashion soon then we can call them 'Retro' ha ha that's a joke(bad). But we also have some lovely Executive & Superior rooms available which for a few pounds more are well worth a look. Thankyou also for your comments on our staff,i will put up your kind review for all to see. Best regards and hope to see you soon.

Fabulous Hotel and Bar and Bistro attached what a " A LITTLE GEM"
What an absolute fabulous GEM of a hotel, The room was modern and lovely en-suite bathroom. the bar and bistro attached was great, the food was of a high standard.
The hotelier Mike even helped with the car not starting in the morning, with charging the battery and a free coffee while we waited. This anniversary weekend was great, my wife was well impressed with me and the hotel i chose. The champagne and flowers waiting in the room, done by the hotel was a great finishing touch.
We will be doing the same this year and recommend this hotel to anyone, a very pleasant experience.

Second Visit - Will defo use again
Great budget accomodation in a nice quiet setting although only 4mins from Sale Town Centre and Tram stop to Manchester. Actually looking to rent somewhere in the vacinity so will probably be back in the New Year whilst I find something.
I didn't use any facilities i.e Bar or restaurant but they seemed popular. Room was clean and tidy. A great wee place to stay overall. Booked 5 nights and ended up staying 7. Stayed before in April and found it to be the same then as now, great!

Weekend break
The room was small and somewhat old-fashioned, but we had been given fair warning of this and in all other respects we were pleased with our stay, especially the 3-for-2 nights deal. Friendly staff. The location is excellent for access to motorway, city of Manchester and Sale town centre with its ready selection of restaurants. Free wifi was a bonus. Would definitely return, but would opt for a larger room!

Clean & Comfortable
Stayed in a budget room and, whilst it was a small and slightly dated room, it was very clean and comfortable. The communal areas in the hotel were well decorated and attractive. The restaurant provided fast service and good quality food, and the staff were cheerful and attentive

Great Find
As someone who regularly travels with work and stays @ numerous chain hotels this was a delight to find!! What you really want when your away from home is somewhere friendly, easy to access and with good food and some atmosphere. The Lennox Lea ticks all the boxes, bags of character, friendly staff and the food is pretty good. Mike on reception is a character ( larger than life!!) My room wasn't the biggest but clean and well presented and the breakfast was spot on. All in all a great find!

Lennox Lea Hotel
This private family run Hotel advertises itself as a “Budget Friendly hotel not to be beaten on price.
As a former International Quality Assurance specialist/author I ask, ‘What are the indicators of a good hotel?’
While I have stayed at many hotels (my preference good B&B’s) throughout the UK over the years, the intimacy of this Award winning hotel makes it the best hotel for me.
People vote with their feet! Suffice to say on my last visit I met a local television personality, an overseas football agent visiting a “Big Manchester Club and 12 former senior officers of the Local Authority and of course the obligatory mobile Training Manager en route.
Or is a hotel only as good as its staff? Several of the staff have worked there for 20 years and each member was able to assist me in any matter I raised with them.
To the Epicurean, well, Alexandrer’s Bistro and where excellence is paramount, try it out for yourself and tell me if I am wrong.

I Liked It
I liked this hotel.Found it on the web while looking for somewhere that was good value for money for a christmas break and the lennox lea is excellent value for money. The location in sale is ideal - just down the road from metro station that will have you in the city centre in minutes. The staff are friendly and even when we slept it out for breakfast it wasnt a problem to serve us late. It has a nice little bar which i managed to get to myself with a paper and a pint in a high back leather chair - bliss! We had the so called dreaded room 38 from other reviews. If you are travelling with your children this room is superb. They have their own room with a sofa bed , tv with dozens of channels and even a video with some tapes in the cupboard. If i had a small gripe it's that the plumbing was very noisy, now i thought this was going to spoil it but you do kind of get used to it and to be fair it is an old building. All in all will be back, very hard to beat at the prices charged

Very pleasant
The hotel was nicely positioned and is very convenient to the local tram service but far enough away as to not be disturbed by the locals or traffic. Parking was ample and FREE which is a bonus. The room was well appointed in the price range and equipped adequately. All in all, a nice budget Hotel but with a higher grade than that in truth. I would recommend this to any visitor to the area as a relaxing and friendly place to use as a base to travel

I've been using the Lennox Lea hotel for business travel for the past three months after trying many hotels in the area. It's in a nice quite road but only a 5 minute walk into the heart of Sale's shops, restaurant and tram station that get's you into central Manchester within 10 mins.
The food is not pretentious and over priced like many other hotels, but good honest reasonably priced homemade grub served by friendly staff in a nice environment and the full english breakfast really set's you up for the day.
Rooms are modern and clean with free wi-fi and there is always ample secure parking.
I thought it was worth posting this feedback as most people don't have the luxury of trying lot's of different hotels in a area before finding the best one, so I hope this helps other travellers

There was also free Wi Fi in lounge.
"Great room. Great Price. Great Breakfast. What more do you want?"
My partner and I stayed at the Lennox Lea on a recent visit to Manchester. We were offered two different grades of room and decided on the cheaper 'budget' double. Value for money or what?! The room was spotless, the staff friendly, and the hotel was located very close to the tram stop for our trips into Manchester. The breakfasts were fantastic- a real change from the usual rubbish hotels serve. Our room was a little on the small side but that's what we were offered and the price reflected this-bigger, luxury rooms were available for more money. It's an old building full of character- better than some modern box anyday. I'll definitely be back!

'Hotel with personal touch'
Stayed in room 38, dont know what previous reviews were on about, shower was spotless with brand new feel. Its a family room, so you have to share with all the family, but still seperate rooms. We were very happy overall, with everything, from the price through to the service. At the price I paid I was expecting a lot less, although Breakfast was extra but worth it. I I had a complaint, its that there was noise from the water system, as we are light sleepers, it did wake us during the nite, and this caused a vicious circle, after you either washed your hands or flushed, the noise would wake the other, but a small price to pay for a very friendly and family run hotel. I would recomend to friends to stay here for any occasion especially Match day for United, I can only sumise that they follow the Red Devils, as the whole bar was enjoying the postmatch discusion over drinks.

Lennox Lea Manchester Review
We had a lovely time at this hotel. We paid the extra for a "standard" room rather than the budget one and found it lovely and clean and a nice size. We came back each day to find the room absolutely spotless, with the bed freshly made and fresh tea and coffee etc. The lady had even washed up some of the bits we had used for our baby! :) We made use of the pass for LA Fitness and took our baby for a lovely swim one morning. The staff were all friendly and polite. We had excellent value for money as we took advantage of the free Sunday night stay at the end of the weekend. Great BnB in a great area!

"Good quality family run hotel in a nice central location"
I booked after being recommended by a work colleague after getting fed up with the plastic service and food from the local premiere inn. I received a warm welcome and was put in a family room which had loads of space and had a two course meal in the bar area which was first class and very reasonably priced. The hotel has a really friendly feel and all the staff are helpful and I'll definitley be using this hotel again.

"A real hidden gem"
I have been staying at the Lennox Lea for many years now and although it can sometimes be a lottery as to the standard of room you get, the hotel has always been upfront at the time of booking regarding any inadequacies with any of the accommodation offered (which is always reflected in the room rate). I too have stayed in the 'dreaded room 38' on many occasions when I have my wife and children with me and I do understand what one of the previous reviewers was saying because the bathroom did leave a bit to be desired. However, I stayed last week and I am happy to report that the mouldy old green bathroom is no longer and there is a lovely shiny bathroom in its place. I've always found the Lennox Lea to be a friendly and generally well run hotel with standards that far excel some supposedly better and more expensive hotels that I visit around the country during the course of my work. Like anywhere there are sometimes problems but the owner Mike does seem to genuinely care and is always upgrading the old place. I think for what they charge, and bearing in mind the location so close to Manchester city centre, Old Trafford and the airport, it's a real hidden gem and if you like a full English breakfast you'll have to go a long way to beat it.

10 out of 10 - Couldn't fault it!
We had a fantastic stay at the Lennox Lea Hotel, it was our 1st visit and have already booked to go back in November! Right from the moment we arrived the service we received was faultless. The Reception staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom was beautifully decorated and very modern with all the amenties we needed, very spacious bathroom too.
The Ipod docking station is a great idea as we were able to listen to our music whilst getting ready for our night out! Never seen this in a hotel before. The Breakfast was delicious....defiinitely recommed the Full English so make sure your nice and hungry!
Overall a fantastic stay really couldn't fault any part of it!
Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

First a word of warning, although this is advertised as a Manchester Hotel it is some way out. This however does not detract from the quality of the hotel. First and foremost personal service - the staff quite clearly are committed to the quality of service provided and to providing a service that is welcoming, friendly, helpful and interested in you as a customer, in contrast to many chain hotels.
